Overwatch's first anniversary event is Lee Dohere and it's introducing a whole bunch of awesome new content to celebrate.

The Overwatchanniversary event, running from today through June 12, includes an anniversary loot box with a chance of dropping new hero skins, dancing emotes for every hero, and other cosmetics. Plus, there are three new arena maps for arcade mode along with some changes coming to the arcade.

The new arena maps (teased last week) are called Castillo, Black Forest, and Necropolis. They will be in Overwatchpermanently and only playable in arcade and custom game modes.

Castillo takes place above the existing map, Dorado, and includes Sombra's hacker hideout.

The changes coming to the arcade include a new feature in 3v3 Elimination mode to minimize matches ending in ties. Instead of revealing enemy hero outlines after a certain time has elapsed, the round will end with a reveal of capture points on the map that players have to go out and capture to win.

A new mode is being added to 3v3, as well: Lockout. In this kind of match, winning teams can't pick their same heroes the next round, making hero selection so much more important and forcing people to step out of their 3v3 comfort zone.

There's also a new mode coming for fans of 1v1 called Limited Duel. In this mode, players get to pick form one of three heroes (both players have the same hero pool to choose from) instead of being forced to play as the same hero.
